About Us

Ashlyn LaRiche, the Executive Assistant at Scutta Advocacy Group, joined the firm in 2019, specializing in financial advocacy and client communications. A graduate of the College of Charleston, she progressed from Administrative Assistant to her current role by demonstrating a strategic approach to client needs. Ashlyn now focuses on helping individuals navigate complex financial processes with clarity and confidence.

Outside of her professional work, Ashlyn is an active dance instructor. She enjoys reading, baking, and spending quality time with her husband and children.

Leah Bayes, a Registered Nurse since 2004, joined Scutta Advocacy Group in 2021 with decades of emergency and clinical care experience, including roles as an ER Charge Nurse and preceptor for new nursing student graduates across major regional medical centers. Experienced in triage, trauma response, and critical care, Leah brings a high level of clinical expertise to every client interaction.

Having spent significant time navigating the healthcare system as a patient herself, Leah offers a uniquely personal perspective on care. She combines deep medical knowledge with first-hand empathy, serving as a dedicated advocate for patients and their families as they navigate complex medical journeys.

Leah enjoys spending time with her family, her dogs, gardening, cooking, baking, and doing puzzles.

Tammy Moriarty, a Registered Nurse with 35 years of healthcare experience, joined Scutta Advocacy Group in 2019, specializing in nurse advocacy and case management. Her diverse career began as an Operating Room Scrub Tech before advancing into roles across surgical nursing, endoscopy, ambulatory surgery, and advocacy. Tammy guides families through complex healthcare systems using her deep clinical knowledge and patient-centered approach.

Outside of work, Tammy lives with her husband and sons. She is an avid cook who loves entertaining and spending quality time with family, friends, and her two dogs.

Betsy Englehardt, a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with 34 years of experience, joined Scutta Advocacy Group in  2023, specializing in oncology and patient advocacy. With a distinguished 25-year career at the MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, she brings 30 years of extensive nursing experience to the team. Betsy now leverages her deep clinical background to guide patients and their families through the complexities of medical care.

Based on Lady’s Island, South Carolina, Betsy enjoys biking, hiking, gardening, and playing golf with her husband. She also has a passion for landscape and home design.

Mida Vause, a Registered Nurse since 2008, and Certified Senior Advisor, joined Scutta Advocacy Group in January 2025, bringing extensive expertise in emergency medicine, hospice, nephrology and clinical management. She previously served as an Emergency Room nurse in a Level I trauma center and managed operations for multiple clinic locations  At Scutta, Mida leverages her clinical expertise to improve the quality of life for older adults through patient-centered advocacy.

Mida is a U.S. Navy veteran who proudly served as a Hospital Corpsman. She enjoys spending time with her family, restoring vintage furniture and thrifting for unique finds.

Lisa Westerman is a Registered Nurse with 24 years of experience and a Certified Executive Coach who brings a rare combination of clinical expertise, healthcare leadership, and compassionate client advocacy to the Scutta Advocacy Group team.  Based in Charleston, SC, Lisa is dedicated to supporting individuals and families as they navigate complex healthcare systems, ensuring every client receives the attentive, informed care they deserve.

Lisa’s career includes positions at MUSC Health and Rehabilitation (Encompass Health), AstraZeneca, House Calls-MD, and Post-Acute Coordinator at Roper-St. Francis, and Alice’s Clubhouse Memory Care Day Center.  Her deep experience in clinical care, relationship building, community outreach, and strategic planning makes her an invaluable advocate for the clients she serves at Scutta Advocacy Group.

Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and her dog and is active in the local theater community.

Anne Hinely, a Personal Needs Coordinator at Scutta Advocacy Group, is a Certified Dementia Practitioner and Certified Montessori Teacher specializing in cognitive activities and socialization. Since 2012, she has focused on individualized dementia care using the Montessori method to build confidence and joy in her clients. Her approach allows clients to utilize problem-solving skills through tailored programs that offer essential companionship.

Anne finds deep fulfillment in witnessing her clients’ success and joy. In her personal time, she enjoys engaging in activities that mirror her professional passion for games and community socialization.

Lynn Tourtellotte joined Scutta Advocacy Group in 2026 as a Case Manager, bringing a background in law office experience and public service with the probate court. After 30 years in the hospitality industry, she transitioned to the legal field, rising to Division Chief of the Estate Department at the Beaufort County Probate Court. At Scutta, Lynn uses her organizational expertise and legal training to support clients with empathy and precision.

Married for over 36 years, Lynn is a proud mother and grandmother. She enjoys getaway weekends, cooking, watching documentaries, and spending time with her rescue dog, R. Lee Ermey.

Aubrey Mitchell joined Scutta Advocacy Group in 2025. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Sociology from John Carroll University. With a background in customer service, Aubrey has developed a genuine love for working with people and helping others feel supported, heard, and cared for.

Aubrey enjoys building meaningful connections with clients and their families. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family, dog and teaching Acrobatic Arts.

Gina Patrick joined Scutta Advocacy Group in 2026 as an Administrative Assistant, specializing in executive support, medical practice administration, and client relations. With over 30 years of experience across healthcare, real estate, and education, she brings a high level of organizational skill to the team. Gina excels in managing complex logistics, bookkeeping, and providing exceptional service to every client she supports.

Gina enjoys spending time with her three children and her doodle, Ollie. She is also a passionate crafter who creates handmade items.
